Active Safety Prevention
The new Chevrolet Cruze is equipped with numerous safety features, including an advanced electronic stability control system (ESC). This system uses a yaw sensor, lateral accelerometer and steering angle sensor to continuously monitor the driver’s steering input and the car’s actual course. ESC automatically engages the appropriate braking and traction controls to help the driver get back on the intended course if it senses a loss of control.
Passive Safety Protection
Besides its advanced cage construction with crumple zones, Chevrolet Cruze protects with six standard air bags (LS and LT models only) including a head-curtain, front thorax/pelvis airbags for side impacts and adual-stage driver and front passenger air bags that deploy at one of two different rates depending on severity of collision.
