With this in mind, various methods have been devised in order to ensure you receive the best customer service available. At Dealer level, you will be contacted in order to ascertain your satisfaction with the Dealership you are dealing with. From GM South Africa's perspective, a structured process is in place to contact you in order to obtain your opinion on your service experience. The results of this process are correlated in order to formulate a Customer Satisfaction Index score.
By means of this index we are able to ascertain where we meet your standards and in what areas we can improve our performance in order to meet your expectation. We also have a comprehensive roadside assistance programme called GM Driver Support Plan with a 24 hour help line in place, which is a free service for 5 years of your vehicle's life. Should you have any problems such as a breakdown, keys locked in the vehicle or simply run out of fuel, call 0800 422 777 for immediate assistance.
Our Dealers take pride in their service standards and would like to be given the opportunity to resolve any problems you may experience. Should you have any queries or items of concern, the following process will ensure you receive the desired response. Explain your concern to your Dealership's Service Manager. Should your query not be resolved at this point, you should then ask to speak to the Dealer Principal/Managing Director of the Dealership. In the event your concern is not resolved by the Dealer Principal/Managing Director it is suggested that you refer the matter to the GM South Africa Customer Relation Section. Their contact number is 0800 422 777. Your concern will then be logged and handled in conjunction with the Dealership concerned and every effort made to resolve it.

PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION.
The pre-delivery inspection will ensure that your vehicle is in a perfect condition and properly prepared for use. Consult your GM South Africa authorised dealer.
INSTALLATION OF PARTS FURNISHED UNDER WARRANTY.
Parts supplied under the New Vehicle Warranty will be installed either by the Selling Dealer, or if the vehicle is away from its normal locality, any authorised GM South Africa dealer in South Africa and adjacent territories.

Your GM Driver Support Plan operator is dedicated to assisting you and your valued passengers to your destination as quickly, safely and problem-free as possible.Please note that this service is only supported in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.
Roadside Assistance
GM Driver Support Plan will rush to your aid, wherever you are, to provide assistance with flat tyres and car batteries, to deliver fuel in case yours has run out (fuel is for your own cost), and to assist with keys accidentally locked in your vehicle. GM Driver Support Plan can unfortunately not take responsibility for damages while performing this service due to the security nature of our products
Towing service/Technician
In the unlikely event of your vehicle suffering a breakdown, GM Driver Support Plan will arrange for your vehicle to be towed by an approved towing operator to the nearest Opel/Isuzu/Chevrolet or Saab/HUMMER/Cadillac authorised repair facility or where possible send a qualified technician to assist you with the problem.
Safe storage
If necessary, GM Driver Support Plan will arrange free safe storage for your vehicle for up to 48 hours.
Repatriation of vehicles
Should you have to leave your vehicle for repairs at an authorised Opel/Isuzu/Chevrolet or Saab/HUMMER/Cadillac dealership located more than 100km from your home, GM Driver Support Plan will arrange to have your vehicle returned to you free of charge or assist you to return to your vehicle.
Courtesy transport
Should you be stranded further than 100km from your home or destination, due to your vehicle undergoing unscheduled repairs, GM Driver Support Plan will provide you with alternative transport, either to your home or to your planned destination. This service is available in South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia and Botswana subject to specific terms and conditions.
Travel service
In the event of a breakdown further than 100km from your home or destination, GM Driver Support Plan will arrange either accommodation or an alternative vehicle to enable you to reach your destination, as well as relay urgent messages and provide telephonic directions.
Information service
GM Driver Support Plan will supply you with information regarding your GM South Africa vehicle, including all general vehicle information such as fuel and oil recommendations, service intervals, tyre maintenance, warning systems and applications, accessory enquiries, dealer locations and dealer telephone numbers.
All GM Driver Support Plan service providers are contracted to GM South Africa. Regular performance assessments ensure that services meet our strict standards and that your "personal assistant" is always ready and waiting, any hour of the day or night, 365 days a year. All you have to do is call.
