In the event of a frontal impact, the Captiva's pedals automatically disengage, reducing the risk of leg injuries. Chevrolet's Electronic Stability Program system is included to ensure Captiva always goes where you want it to, as are a number of additional systems - including HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), HDC (Hill Descent Control) and ARP (Active Rollover Protection).

The Captiva's Hill Descent Control (HDC) system maintains velocity during steep downhill driving to the limit you choose.

The Captiva's Driver Information Center gives you information on the outside temperature, average fuel consumption, average speed and remaining fuel range, and also acts as a compass.
